Do you remember how dreams came true last year for 15 families who won stunning room makeovers as part of Home Centre’s 15^th anniversary celebrations?  Well the Home Centre Room Makeover Competition is back – and it’s even bigger and better.     

Following last year’s tremendous response in the UAE, this inspiring, heart-warming competition has been extended to include Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain.  We are also increasing the number of contemporary, stylish Home Centre room makeovers to be won.  You could be one of 20 lucky winners celebrating a stunning room makeover worth AED 10,000 or your currency equivalent.

That's exactly what happened last year for Hanan Mohd Anwar, from Sharjah, and her four children.  Hanan told us that her dream was to have a brighter and more suitable bedroom, with improved storage, for her children: "My four children mean the world to me. They share a single room with just enough space for four beds – there's no place for them to play or study and the room looks noisy and unexciting”. 

Our Home Centre experts responded to Hanan’s call for help by making the most of the space with practical, colourful and innovative storage solutions, incorporating the space-saving Sergio Bunk Bed, which transformed the room.  The children now have a clutter-free place to sleep, play, study and even invite friends over – which, Hanan reports happily, they're doing with great enthusiasm.

Taking part in the competition couldn’t be easier – and you can participate in English or Arabic. Simply send us a photo of the room you want transformed and tell us why it should get an elegant makeover by Home Centre. Your story, a picture of your room, and what the makeover would mean to you holds the key to your chance of success.  Our panel of judges is looking for open, honest and moving stories that will inspire others to vote for you to win. Entries must be received by 21^st April 2012. 

Once you have entered, share your entry with as many of your friends, family and colleagues as possible – which will raise your chances of winning. The 100 top-voted entries will receive a copy of Home Centre's special-edition 'Taste of the World' cookbook – a collector’s item.  

Our panel of expert judges will carefully review all of the entries to determine 40 semi-finalists. Home visits and interviews will be conducted to determine the lucky winners, who will be announced in mid-May.
